One of the many reasons I moved to Austin was to get to see great live music on a regular basis. But now that I’m here, I really don’t do it as much as I’d like. Stupid day job.
But yesterday, I saw super excited to see The Carper Family play a short show at Waterloo Record store. (It was at 5 pm. Super convenient for a grandma like myself.) If you haven’t heard their new album, Ol’ Fashioned Gal, then you’re wasting time and should get on it immediately.
Apparently they went on tour today, and they will be going through North Carolina so, if anybody’s in the Carrboro area you should definitely go! They’re playing at the Arts Center on Saturday, June 22nd and if you have any appreciation for country music or fine female voices/musicians, then this is up your alley.
